One of the things that my clients most struggle with is juggling between work and family/life responsibilities. Even years into their businesses they find themselves rushing from one to the other or…even worse, feeling like they need to choose between them.

I want to offer a reframe.

You don’t have to choose between family and your business.
You don’t have to choose between a successful business and a whole and satisfying life.
You don’t have to choose between work and play.
You can have both.

But this isn’t a Marie Antoinette “let them eat cake” situation where we bypass privilege.
This isn’t a “you have as many hours in a day as Beyoncé” quote (you don’t).
This is an invitation to a different kind of choice.

Instead of choosing between one love and the other, choose between rigidity and flexibility.

The problem isn’t your responsibilities (although you know I have a thing or two to say about how unhealthy capitalism is). The problem is in your design.

There’s a reason I always ask about your capacity and your schedule BEFORE we design your services suite. Because frankly, you can’t offer VIP days as a primary caregiver with a toddler at home. UNLESS…you design it so you can. UNLESS…you expand your VIP days into VIP weeks that work with your nap time schedule.

Life will happen.
The unexpected is expected.

The question I want you to consider isn’t “how will I juggle it all?”. The question is “how can I design this to work with my life instead of against it?

Message me back. Let me know what this brought up for you.
