As much as I like to break the rules, there’s one I try very hard to abide by and it’s this: the 90 Day Marketing Rule. This rule says that what you do today, you will see the result in 90 days. Of course, life and business have flex and some things happen faster than others but, if you look back to the end of March and what you were doing then…chances are you can see the results in your business today. Were you actively speaking to clients or quietly offering your services to those who explicitly ask? Were you away from your desk or on podcasts?

My kid just graduated grade 4 and we’re headed into a summer of kid-wrangling, summer camp, swimming lessons, teaching permaculture courses, weeding the gardens, dealing with our growing chicks (many of whom are apparently roosters…gord help us), and otherwise being called toward the beautiful shores of Lake Huron.

Summer is a time when it’s easy to get distracted. But don’t let it call you away!

Now is exactly the time you want to be talking to people about the fall, connecting with folks online, pitching to podcasts and speaking engagements, working on your business foundations, and making plans to ̶t̶a̶k̶e̶ ̶o̶v̶e̶r̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶w̶o̶r̶l̶d̶ ̶m̶w̶a̶h̶a̶h̶a̶ exceed your incredible goals.

If you know:

· you’ll be away for a week or more, batch and schedule your content so your only To Do is scrolling and engaging until you get back.

· your focus hours will now be parenting hours, juggle your schedule as best as you can so you get that time you need to create.

· you’re ready to grow before the year is out, don’t lose sight of those goals but make a list of things you can progress on while the summer works its magic.

·  you have a tendency to push through and extend yourself beyond your capacity, schedule in rest and rejuvenation time…because you can’t do the great things you were meant to do if you’re tapped out.

The summer can be a glorious mayhem and it’s very easy to drift away on the current. As you head into yours, remember to not lose sight of the shore.

Of course, if you need a raft, a paddle, or a good strong push, get in touch. I gotchu.
